..........HOW IN THE HELL DO I SYNC MY CONTACTS AND APPOINTMENTS WITH GOOGLE SYNC?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

They give instructions but they don't work for my phone! I don't wanna flash to a stock rom just to back up my info...than flash back! Everytime I go to activesync it doesn't have the option the website says it should have! Can someone please help me here?!?!?!?!
Google has exchange capabilities, you don't need a computer at all. Go to active sync on your phone and select add server source, put in your gmail addy, unchecked "attempt to detect automatically " , then for server address its m.Google.com, then user name is your full email address and then your gmail pasasword. Then sync contacts, email, and calendar. Damn picking up my tp2 to figure out those directions took me back, I can't believe how slow and unresponsive that phone is compared to these newer spec phones.
