No. The Sprint 6.5 update included a newer radio version, and both the older and newer radio work fine for myself and many others with the Sprint Lover's ROM. My rom is only the operating system and does not contain a radio so whatever version you're using before the update to Sprint Lover's, you will have after you install it.
