Re: Sprint replacing Touch Pro with Touch Pro 2!

I went into the Sprint store today with a CRAPPY phone (Keyboard seldomly worked, Front face buttons DIDNT work, mass overheating/lockups) and the tech guy there agreed that it was in pitiful condition and should be exchanged, but he couldn't because there was a crack on the phone and it'd be considered a cosmetic defect that wasn't in proper condition to be refurbished (WTF) and he basically sent me on my way.

I left the store furious (literally yelled BULL**** on the way out) and sat in my car for a minute before decided to try to end this right now and called up sprint and asked for the advanced exchange department. I told her what went down in the store and she wanted to try to get me an exchange since I obviously deserved one but she couldn't because apparently the warranty on it expired last month. She at first tried to set me up with another Touch Pro but I brought up the fact that I didn't want to go through this again and my friends have problems with it too. I also brought up the fact that I had BEEN calling them for the past 5 or so months trying to get something done and no reps were ever any help to me, she checked my files and verified that I had called several times and said that she couldn't do anything about it on HER service account but would get her department head or supervisor to help me.

I was put on hold for awhile until finally the woman said she got her supervisor to log into their account and by doing that they could grant me an exchange! The choices were a TP, Blackberry, Samsung Moment, Palm Pre and a Touch Pro 2! Of course, I took the TP2 and they said it will be here on tuesday!
