How can you possibly say that? My TelCel Amigo SIM's cost 140 pesos (about US$11.50) and came with a 50-peso usage credit! I have seen them in some shops for as much as 200 pesos, but that's still hardly "very expensive."

Generally, one of the easiest-to-find and least-expensive places to get TelCel Amigo SIM's is at Oxxo convenience stores.

I have no idea how much Movistar SIM's are, and TelCel minutes are reputed to be more expensive than Movistar's.

Did you mean to say that the service was very expensive rather than the SIM itself?
