Did anybody here pay big $$ for the European version of this phone?

Just wondering if anybody here couldn't wait long enough and ordered the European version from overseas a couple months ago. The only reason I ask is that this would be the largest price difference of any phone for an "early adopter". People (including me) have gotten deals where they've paid less than $90 for the phone online and at retail stores. I've heard of people paying close to $1000 for the European version that even has lower hardware specs and no 3G. This is NOT A FLAME POST!!!!!!!!!! I am genuinely curious because I am usually an early adopter myself, I paid close to $500 for the European GSM Hero when I used to have AT&T. That phone was at&t 3g compatible...if the European HD2 was, I probably would have bought it from overseas myself.
