By in far the Evo holds its place over the HD2. Both phones are great but you can't be a Sprint users and compare the HD2 to what the Evo may be, theres no comparison at all...
I will be upgrading this summer to the Evo....even if I have to sell my TP2 to get it....but atleast I will be able to use the Premier $150 credit after 1 year service to get it...

The Evo is definitely better specced than the HD2, but that's just the natural progression of technology. But to get the Evo I'm not downgrading to Android in it's current form. FFS, it can't even sync my Exchange calendar! My ancient WinMo Treo could do that. Not saying that Evo's hardware won't be amazing, but it's going to be let down by it's OS and it's carrier though unfortunately (this is purely subjective though and just a matter of opinion). Android has a little bit of growing up to do, by the time 3.0 rolls around I hope to be able call it my OS of choice.
Btw - the HD2 has 576 MB of RAM (not 44
, which is more than the Evo spec that you just listed
