I just picked up a Sprint Touch Pro 2 today, installed most of the programs from my old touch, and used a registry editor to do the internet share hack.
In the registry editor navigate to:
hklm/comm/internetsharing/settings and delete the forcecellconnection line.
Run the internet sharing app again and select the Sprint network to connect.
So far it is just as fast as my old Touch.
Internet connection stuff is easy, I just wish I could get DoomPDA to work properly with the keyboard.
