I have music and videos on my home network on various windows machines and a QNAP NAS209. I would like to be able to browse those files and play music and watch movies through my home wifi.

Seems like there has yet to be a good solid video player app developed for android that can play most formats. I have a huge library of movies and TV shows in xvid format and from what I can tell I won't be able to watch those without transcoding. That's what the "video player" comment was referring to.

I'm not worried about it though. With the speed Andriod is growing and the boost the EVO will give it, I'm sure all these issues will be solved in no time.
