I honestly can't believe HTC is getting end user defense here with this issue. Many recent HTC devices are having the same driver issue, there is simply no valid excuse for it. Not only was it not physically obvious. It was nether stated in a written omission, spec omission nor an officially announced omission, pre-distribution from HTC or the carriers. Its is also a standard feature.

Its broadly acknowledged as an issue, not a misunderstanding or a multitude of assumptions.

A number of you took this issue on the chin and actually find no fault in it.
Some of you should really look into things like this with shaper eyes. Even if it was accidental, If someone can get over on you to save profit, time and/or effort, they are most likely to take advantage.

Heh, after reading through here IMO, some of you would probably shrug if you bought a qwerty keyboard smartphone only to find it only had those six keys with a 6sec entry delay.

So anyway, who is going to play pioneer with the ATI.cab?
I think you are missing the point some of that were trying to make. There isnt one of that would not like our phones to be more powerful. The point that is being made is that all of you had a chance to play with and test your phone before you committed to it. You must have liked something about it to not return it and get something else. Turning into an anti-HTC lynch mob and getting pissed off about it accomplished nothing. Personally, If the driver comes and imporves my phone in anyway then great. If it never comes I am not going to let it get in the way of a still fantastic phone.

Your statement about the qwerty keyboard is asinine as the phone would not be provided as advertised and would not meet the basic needs of the user. In all likelyhood you were bragging to your friends about how cool your new phone was just a short time ago before all of this came to light. I am certainly not a HTC shill and i have my own issues as I am on my 5th Mogul due to crappy screens. I would much rather them fix that issue to tell you the truth.

Everyone would like this:

With its 1GHZ processor tons of RAM, beautiful Screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, TV Tuner etc...

I am just saying that grabbing your pitch forks and getting all pissed off about something you didnt even know existed not too long ago is a waste of your engergy. Sure let HTC know what you would like. And if you dont like HTC, dont buy from them its pretty simple.
