Need help and clarification (i went to htc first)

I went to HTC for support and said this:

I bought the HTC touch Pro 2 from the Sprint store and then I went to Metro PCS (my service provider) and had it flashed over. My device configuration keeps coming on saying that it is updating my profile and I get the 1012 error code. When I try to search for updates (using my phone) it does the same thing.

She replied:

Hello, Thank you for your response. HTC is unable to support devices that have been flashed with a custom ROM. Since your device was flashed with a Metro PCS ROM and it was a Sprint device, I am unable to support your device because that is considered a custom ROM. If you have a Metro PCS ROM on the device and you are trying to update using the Sprint update, this could be causing the error because it is trying to place your device back on the Sprint network. I do apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. Thank You, Stephanie HTC Technical Support Team www.htc.com/us http://www.facebook.com/htc https://twitter.com/htc

Can any of you at PPC Geeks help me fix the problem?

also can I download the stock WM 6.5 for sprint and update the PRL even though I keep getting this code?

Thanks in advance.
