Can you help me understand the motivation behind starting this thread?

If you have ideas on how you would improve TouchXperience, then by all means, go post in the beta feedback forum. If you are a contribution and have access to the application, the cert and a keygen, you would also have access to the beta section where Schaps is begging folks for feedback.

As far as the UI not appealing to you, I am sure that there are tons of folks that fall on either side of that topic. Some folks still prefer the "stacked" windows ce type home screen, some like sense, some like the Zune-ish interface ...
