PM me (as I may loose track of your responses in this thread) sometime and I can let you know if you're on track. If you really need me too I can either set you up with the right file to test it yourself or I can sneak into a VZW store and maybe test if they'll let me.
I tried quick to test, but couldn't figure out how to put the files into the keymap folder within android. I don't have much time until I get off of work to really play around with it to test, but I'm going to try again when I get home tonight. There are some different keys between the FN and spacebar, but if no one else got to it sooner, I was going to worry about that after at least the FN stuff was working. And I don't have a .kcm.bin file to try either.

I haven't tried with the latest (4/1), but I think one of the releases just prior to this also had the force_cdma flag and it wouldn't work with the sim in. It could be that the flag wasn't fully supported then though.
