Re: Palm Desktop Sync Sofware 2 Work with tp2

No, there's no way.

I very strongly disagree that Palm's HotSync is better, either. One of the reasons I jumped from the Palm platform was that synching was so unreliable after I went to Windows XP. My wife finally made the same decision a couple of months ago after realizing she'd been totally unable to synch her Palm organizer for nearly two years on any of three computer she tried.

Palm Desktop isn't synch software. You realize that, right? It's just a PIM (Personal Information Manager) much as MS Outlook is. It's a pretty basic one with very limited functions. The Palm HotSync software can synch to Palm Desktop or to Outlook, and the Outlook conduits have always been abysmally useless.

It gets even clearer that Palm's synch software is not superior to what Windows Mobile uses when you go to the link you posted: that page points to a download at Microsoft for ActiveSync for XP, which is what Windows Mobile devices use on that platform, or to Windows Mobile Device Center, which is what they use on Vista. It's the same synch software. How can it be "way better?"
