Before using the cab to disable it, my battery would drop as I watched, but after removing it my battery doesn't drop at all unless I actually use the phone. I think the issue would be present in any ROM that includes it, not just the stock one.

So you didn't notice worse battery with Sense2.5????? It was the same or better than stock????
