when i rebooted after using the template it took quite a long while to actually finish booting, by a long time I'm talking just on the verge of 10 minutes to boot all the way up. you may have just simply not let it sit long enough.
of course its possible your template got corrupted while downloading, i would just try to re-download it and when you reboot just give it plenty of time to do its thing.
