I found MY solution to the power button... I systematically uninstalled programs in reverse order... soft reset and let the phone go into sleep mode then hit the power button after each un install... took about 15 cabs before I narrowed it down to....
a transparent_quidklinks cab...
Uninstalled it... phone works like a charm... Re installed the other cabs and still no issues.
