Also it looks like ActiveSync is staying on all the time like it was on my Mogul. Not having it always visible/active on the TP2 6.1 ROM was actually kinda nice.

1 - Have you installed the HTC Task manager Cab from post 4?
2 - Go to: settings > system > task manager > click on the button tab
3 - There is an option to change how applications react when you press the "X"
Soft reset and you should be good to go
