Make sure you've installed the CAB for DShow, and I think you might also need HTC Streaming Media, Fullscreen Player, and one or both of Flash and Flash Lite. Try installing them all. If it works, then begin uninstalling them one at a time until it breaks again, and you've figured out the exact requirements.
