MSFT can't anticipate all the uses of Copy and Paste to hyperlink everything out there. Just.....LAME!
Not that I'm against using Google's search engine, I'm against google having a right to all your contacts, calender info, etc that goes into their free cloud service. If they wanted...they'd know when you're not home to rob you. Not that they would, but all the data's there in one convenient location. Maybe I'm just paranoid. If I'm correct, you have to have a google account to use a google phone right? Or can you set it so that you never sync with the cloud and only on your computer?

You don't have to post to google's cloud service if you don't want to..you jsut won't be able to use the Google apps and etc which are not required or you can find alternatives to...as I said motrola completely took google out in all aspects and uses yahoo instead on AT&T..microsoft is same right now..LIVE, microsoft myphone all use cloud to store your data and contacts.
But you don't need a Google account to use Android at all. You jsut gotta sign your soul away to them (jk)..and personally yes I think google is out to conquer the world...but that does not change that you don't have to sync to Google or have a google account to use Android.
