I have been checking out various cooked ROMs over the past few months, and began having the "wake from power off" problem several weeks ago. It had gradually gotten worse, sometimes taking me 20 minutes or more to restart the phone, and each time causing me to wonder if I'd finally managed to brick my phone. I eventually decided to flash back to stock ATT ROM and return the phone for exchange. Turns out the problem disappeared after flashing the original ATT ROM. So.....reflashed my current favorite cooked ROM (Josh's Light Sense 2.1.7), and the problem is gone for now. Hmmmmmmm.
