1. Install all the apps you want, configure/customize your phone to your liking
2. Power off your phone
3. Volume Down + Talk + End/Power (in that order) you will enter the recovery mode
4. Using Optical joystick, navigate to DATA OPTIONS press joystick for OK
After step 3. this is what I get.
reboot system now [volume down]
apply sdcard:update.zip [send]
wipe data/factory reset [end]

recovery start...
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/command

I can't find step 4.

Also haven't been able to remove system apps. Says access denied
First I'd like for you to check your phone to ensure you've rooted it, go to MENU>SETTINGS>ABOUT PHONE scroll down and look for BUILD NUMBER make sure it's the kernel you installed

Secondly, what is the kernel you used? If you didn't use Zefie's I believe you'll have to install Recovery2.0 in order to back your data

I'll need to add that to the HOW TO

I'm going to attach the Recovery2.0 to the how to

The way you install this is simply remove the customer kernel from the BINARY folder and copy the Recovery2.0 to the BINARY folder
