I have a new HP Vista laptop & experienced exact same thing sometimes when clicking on a "ROMUpgradeUt" app.

I haven't tried kitchen on this comp yet, but BOTH the original Sprint , & also the WM6 rom that come packaged with self-installers work without any hassle at all...
