So let me ask all who have USB to PC tethering working fine this question: Which ICS cab did you install to get this work? Did you also have to do the registry edit? Did you install the program to your device of SD card after running the cab? I currently all this cabs on my SD card and ready to go. I just need to know which one works with the least effort. I have Calkulin's WM 6.5 Tethering Fix, Mr. X and Mighty Mike's Tethering Tracked Hotfix, ICS and WModem Fix, RsBrown69 TP2 Tethering Fix Mar 20 2010. On my TP2 with the stock Sprint 6.1 ROM, all I did was download the ICS and WModem Fix and it worked with no reg edits. Also, with 6.1 I connected via Active Sync selection. I read a response that I should connect as storage. Huh? The PC just reads the pics from my storage card that way. I don't feel like flashing this baby again, so please someone help. Thanks.
If you want to install cabs and can figure out, from the growing list of the ones available, which one to use and why, and you understand what all they are doing to your phone and are fine with it, then good luck picking one because it was just to confusing to me, and a different one keeps popping up every couple of days. I prefer knowing what changes I'm making to my phone whenever possible, and keeping the list of installed items as light as possible, so I'm a simple registry edit fan if it is an option. And from my experience with ICS it is. All I have needed to do to get either USB or bluetooth PAN sharing to work are three registry edits and zero cabs. (I think some of the cabs are nothing but registry edits but can't tell you which is which).

If you are on a clean flash without any ICS cabs or edits applied, all you need to do is:

1. Go to [HKLM\Services\CMGuardian]
create a new DWORD Value called "Flags" and set the value data to "4"

2. Reboot

3. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing]
and delete the "isext.dll" entry

4. Go to [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\InternetSharing\settings]
and change "ForceCellConnection" from "PhoneAsModem" to "Sprint"

(please omit the "" in all of these entries)

You should now be able to use ICS, but make sure your data connection is already intialized prior to using (open a web browser of check your mail) or you may be asked for a user name and password. I have my email checking every 5 minutes so it is never an issue for me.

Again, I know some of the cabs out there do these same things and they have worked fine for many, so no disrespect intended, I just like to keep it as simple and clean as I can.
