Since NRGZ has combined his threads, I recently moved over from the old 2.1 thread. I am a heavy user, I drive 12 hrs a day and stream/play audio for about 6 hrs not to mention e-mail, surfing, and phone calling. I am on vacation this week so I finally broke down and decided to try the 2.5 roms. I tried the 23547 & 23549 2/26-3/17 and 3/20 2.5 cookie (sorry don't like max). I love the look and feel......but I am amazed at the battery drain difference between 2.1 and 2.5. On the 2.5 roms if I set my phone on the nightstand with 100% charge and leave it for 10 hours it drains 30 to 40% charge. I went back to the 3/17 2.1 and after 10 hrs it had drained only 6%!!

The whole purpose of this rant is not to criticize the 2.5 roms. They are great and for most the battery is fine. But for me, were battery life is my first issue, NRGZ's 2.1 is THE rom.

I want to let it be known there are die hard 2.1 people out here so that the updates to 2.1 keep coming. NRGZ is #1
