What it comes down to is what the person included when he made the cab files. Chances are you installed a few things that have some of the same files in them some being the same and some being different. The flashing you describe is just it letting you know that you pressed something. It might have been a slight color change before and one of the cabs had is but with a brighter color so know it looks to be more of a flash. If you are talking about a solid white screen when going from one screen to the other it could just be it reacting slowly with the new ROM.
