I was having the same issue myself. Even after installing the GT2L clean up cab. It got worse when I ran a custom taskbar, dark ninja. I removed the taskbar and added TSOwens newest task bar and it seems okay now. Sometimes it gets slow, but it doesn't lock up like it first was. Nice to see someone local, I'm in Brentwood.
