Re: HTC Touch Pro 2 Battery Life (Verizon)
I also have the Verizon Touch Pro 2 and I feel that my battery is very good. Normally it is well above 50 or 60% every night after moderate to heavy usage. And by that I mean talking on the phone for less than 20 minutes(who really talks on their phone these days), installing multiple cabs, using the internet for an hour or so, and probably sending 100-200 text messages. About an hour of messing around too. Just changing settings and messing around.
I first got my phone and it was running 6.1. I plugged it in without even turning it on and left it charging for over 24 hours. I turned the phone on, upgraded to 6.5 using the official rom from the website and left it charging another 24 hours or so. I then took it to the store and had it activated(my previous contract with Sprint didn't end until this time). Ever since then I have always kept it on all day. Every night I put it on the charger regardless of the charge level.
I know that they say lithium ion batteries don't have the charge level thing where you have to charge it for so long to get the "true" level of the battery, but I think it still helps. My original touch pro had horrible battery life. It would be down to 40 or 50% after only being turned on for 4 or 5 hours with low usage. I think it was because I got the phone out of the box, charged it for less than 10 minutes, and then used it until the battery was almost dead.
I guess what I'm trying to say from all of this is that you should charge your phone for at least 12 hours, if not 24 when you first get it. It couldn't hurt to try right?
