I'm not with Sprint, but with Telus in Canada (Touch model 3050 rolled out here recently).

I'm also having the issue with no ringing/notifications while in standby. I only noticed it today using my work phone to call the Touch. Manually putting the phone in standby (aka turning the screen off with a tap of the power button) means zero calls getting through. Upon wakeup, I'll get the VM notification, but geez, this is frustrating. (Ironically, i was only testing it to see how loud the ringer was in its pouch, since I missed several calls while the phone was holstered on Friday.)

I've had mine less than a week, and haven't installed much (TCPMP, Midlet Manager/OperaMini, and GoogleEarth) and tweaked a bit (just basic settings, no regedit or anything). No apps are running, all progs/ringtones are in onboard memory (issue happens in vibrate mode too), and I've had BlueTooth off since day 1. I haven't required a soft reset due to phone freeze as some others have mentioned, it just won't wake up automatically from the call.

My workaround has been to turn off the powersave standby, and set the backlight to turn off after a minute. This sucks for the battery, but at least calls come through.

I'm going to try again in the morning (no landline at home). As per advice on here and other forums, other settings I've changed are:

- setting Key Lock to "Do Not Lock Buttons"
- turned off "Today timeout" (don't even know what this means)
- will try ensure Data connection is terminated before letting the phone standby (which would be a real pita since it often seems to reconnect on it's own, with no prog running)
- some have suggested turning off the Home screen, custom or not, but I really hope not to for sheer style's sake.

I don't know if this is an HTC or WM6 issue, but man I hope one of them addresses it soon, as it seems like a pretty major bug. I checked out the HTC phone updates page. Wow, nice bit o' BLANK there. Very reassuring!

Will post if I have any luck.
