I used to do it with my 6700. No quality issues. Audio out over ExtUSB should be the same.
Lately I've been streaming via A2DP to the computer in my car if I want to play something from my phone. Kinda nice not having any wires. Also works well as a remote control for changing volume, picking songs, etc. at the beach : )
