I had an experience today that I wanted to share with everyone. I was at my friend's house who owns a HTC Droid Eris. He wanted me to help him tether his Eris to his laptop (he is a little computer illiterate....obviously). While I was doing this, I took the opportunity to show off my Imagio and the great new ROM I have. I was showing him how fast and great it was, but to my surprise he wasn't impressed. This is because he showed me how his phone with the same hardware specs (Processor, ROM, and RAM) was faster than my Custom ROM phone. I was shocked!!!! I am not sure why this is. Is Android OS really that much better than WM?
Because of this enlightening experience, I have to ask you and all of the other chefs out there a question. Is it possible to make an Android ROM to put on our Imagio? I know that there have been people working on porting over the Android OS to boot with Haret on the Imagio, but it still lacks functionality. I would really love to have an Android OS now that I have experienced its superiority over WM, and especially because of the Google Voice native apps for the Android.
Having said all of that, I realize that my current observation may be totally wrong. Please let me know what you all think. Is WM better than Android?
PS: I switched to Linux Ubuntu last year and just got Virtual Box to run Windows XP seamlessly, so I am never going back to a full Windows OS on a desktop or laptop.

There are some posts here about booting Android on the Imagio but from what I read I think this is just putting the OS on top of Windows Mobile so it's not flashing the phone in the same manner. I don't know if this can be or has been done yet, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.
