Re: Official Sprint 6.5 ROM Touch Pro 2 RELEASE (Official Discussion Thread)

Sprint's radio upgrade fixed my annoying Bluetooth issue!

I installed Sprint's release before my normal EnergyROM upgrade. I primarily did it because I wanted the radio upgrade. I am pleased to confirm what others have said .. it is not necessary to downgrade to stock, and/or re-lock before upgrading, nor does it re-lock your device. And yes, Sprint's ROM was really quick, though I didn't spend much time with it.

However, ever since getting the Touch Pro 2, I have had this issue where any time I press the button on my hands-free Bluetooth system in my truck, the truck would sever the connection to the phone, but the phone would maintain the call. It was like the phone thought it was talking to an ear-piece rather than a hands-free system. Sometimes my caller would sit there and listen to me drive, or other times as the phone hung up, it reconnected to hands-free, so the stereo would stop playing, but there would be nothing from the phone (as the phone was neither on a call nor talking Bluetooth). It has been very annoying.

This morning, after installing Sprint's ROM, then going back to EnergyROM's latest build, I re-paired my phone, and it works flawlessly. Apparently Sprint's radio upgrade didn't only fix the speed at which it moves between 1g and EVDO, it also fixed the Bluetooth behavior ROM various Bluetooth software in different ROMs couldn't fix.
