Yeah, that's not the taskbar, those are the bars where the carrier name and slider are (I think). To get the taskbars transparent, go to WM6.5 tab, select whatever component you want (taskbar, softkey bar, or both), leave change method to wallpaper, convert, soft reset and you should be good!
