I'm having this exact same problem. It used to work on this phone but now it wont. I've had this model of phone for only 5 months and I've already experienced:
1. White spots on the screen (both phones)
2. Broken green phone button (first phone)
3. Broken left softkey button (first phone)
4. Broken Fn button (both phones)
5. Broken Wifi
I'm not hard on the phone - I promise! I really think this thing is a huge piece of crap. I just wish they had a different (non-HTC) phone with the same size or bigger screen.
