I agree the WM Search function is lousy... it pales in comparison to even the Global Find function that PalmOS had from 12 years ago... WM's Search is slow and very limited and doesn't interactive with the underlying applications very well. Sadly part of the reason why PalmOS's Find function is so good is that it was part of the original design of the OS and interfaces *every* application as an integral function, not, like WM's Search which is just a glued on app that has to rummage through N file formats all by itself... part of the reason why WM is simply not designed well as a OS for phones...
I'd love to have a replacement... but nobody seems to be stepping up to the plate...
