All phones manufactured after April 2006 cannot recieve calls on an EVDO data connection. My previous one was manufactured after April so I was deprived of this ability, but not anymore.

Can someone elaborate on the significance of having a manufacturing date before April 2006?
What does this mean ?I CAN RECIEVE CALLS ON A DATA CONNECTION!!!? does he simply mean simultaneously ? I thought there was a reg hack that allowed this as well as the new rom update was supposed to allow this?
