No stock ROM can overwrite a custom SPL becuase cmonex builds write protection in.
If you are unlocked and flash a stock ROM, 10 out 10 you stay unlocked...

Now that I'm dismisconceived, how might I unlock my boot-looping, Alltell CDMA Touch Pro with the 0.40 SPL?
As previously stated, the only successful (ie goes from 0 to 99% then restarts) flashing that I can do is the correct rom. Yes, the correct, latest standard rom. Yes it the right standard rom. No it's not another rom it's the proper, standard rom. No it's not the GSM/Sprint/Bell/Verizon rom it's the correct Alltel rom.
I've tried the 0.37 unlocker and I got a communication error. Yes I tried a bunch of other unlockers just to see what happens. Nothing did. Did I mention that I was able to flash it with the correct Alltel rom?
No I didn't try to unlock it with a card, as it seems that one needs to boot the phone to do that. Can someone confirm or deny that? (No one will of course, but I can dream.)

So a quick recap:
-I got it this way
-Alltell Touch Pro (not Verizon, Sprint etc)
-CDMA (Not GSM, IDEN, or CupNstrinG)
-Boot loops: "Touch Pro"-buzz-reboot, "Touch Pro"-buzz-reboot, etc
-Has SPL 0.40 will not unlock using Rapheal 0.37 (nor any other)
-DID flash with CORRECT Alltel rom. Didn't use Versizon, didn't use GSM, Sprint, etc. (the m*r*n I got it from could have)
-CAN'T do anything but go into color stripped SPL screen (and boot loop)
-DID do all kids of resets and reboots and button holding/pushing resets. Really ALL of them.
QUESTION: HOW CAN I UNLOCK A SPL 0.40? THE 0.37 DOESN'T WORK. I WANT TO UNLOCK IT SO I CAN TRY ANOTHER ROM BEFORE I THROW IT AWAY.
