That's not quite correct - I tried entering the MSL in that screen and got nowhere.
The place I entered it - windows key>settings>personal>phone, then pick the "
security" tab, there is a button entitled "SIM Lock". If you click that button and enter the MSL - the phone is unlocked.
I had no problem getting the MSL from Sprint, I just asked.
