Re: Data Plan Required
I for one don't consider what Verizon is doing is necessarily "stealing" as what has been pointed out earlier that they don't force users to use their service all in all. Fortunately I am free to choose another carrier, just like WBFAir did, which gives us what we need at a super awesome price and Verizon service.
Please, everyone realize that I think it's rediculous that in general you feel that we're "stealing" by NOT choosing to purchase a data plan with our phones. When it was perfectly acceptable for MANY years not to pay for something not needed. Do we owe Verizon money for all of these past years because we didn't pay our share???? Because we didn't throw thousands of dollars their way the network hasn't progressed that far because of our "greediness"???? If Verizon had us on a dumb phone we'd not be paying for data either. Why does it matter if we choose to make phone calls on a PDA vs. a dumb phone????
Maybe we should go after HTC here for including a Wi-Fi module in the phone as it's obviously not needed. They're providing ways for people to steal from Verizon or other carriers. The other Samsungs I mentioned had Wi-Fi also. Maybe they're the crazies and out of line too. Let's put liability where it lies O.K.
These arguments are rediculous to say the least people bring up about Wi-Fi users "stealing" service. That's like someone purchasing a Ferrarri or some fast car and choosing to go the speed limit is a law breaker because they're not using the car for it's obviously INTENDED use which would be to drive as fast as it can.
LOL! This thread is continuing to get more entertaining by the minute.
