Just for the record I have seen this arguement in the past, and most people understand, and/or accept it, knowing that it is basic business 101. If not they understand the idea of getting a phone elsewhere.

All I can say is that if you think it's bad that Verizon is doing it, just wait. It is only going to become more and more popular. In fact there are many other carriers around the world doing it as well. I give my money to one every month here in Canada (Telus) In fact I think every carrier here does it, so I guess I don't even have a choice like WBFAir, but I understand why they do it so it's not a problem.
