on to the discussion at hand. nobody is saying that only certain people can have a particular device. but if you feel you shouldnt have to be forced to pay for data plan, there is a way around it. like i said, you can stick to your current phone that doesnt need the data plan and get on ebay or the bargain trader thread to buy just the phone itslef. that way, you can use just the wifi on the phone and not worry about thiss

when i upgraded to tp2, i also felt the same as you. but after i took my device home, i was glad that i took the everything data plan. do i have wifi around me? of course i do. but when im in a car going around town or going out of town (which is just abt every weekend), i pass the time surfing the web on my phone. and wifi is basically out of the question and non-existent when in a car driving around...unless i pay for the mifi. and because the thread is also about saving $$$...thats a hell no on that idea. now i could be just like you and just keep waking up everyday with this complaint, but unfortunately i am ok with paying because i do get heavy usage of the data plan. i see the benefit i get from it...even if we say it goes to sprint's pocket books.

and just to clear it up...when i say im in the car, im actually the passenger...lol.
