Just to point out, I've been taking care of myself since I was younger then that as I had a Father who was diagnosed with MS when I was 4, and I have a brother with Downs Syndrome and a mother who barely did anything to help with any of that but that recently had a stroke that gave her so much brain damage she has to have 24hr care so your not the only one out there with troubles.

Simply put, as I've always said, "make it a choice", if you need it, or want it or want to waist all the money you care to waist on anything for that matter, then fine, do it all you want, that’s your “choice” and you have every right to make that decision if you so choose.

But if you read my post my point is to not make this "mandatory" as that removes that same right of choice from anyone else to have that “not” be the case if that is the choice they would like to make.

An as well that no one has the right to tell anyone what is right or wrong to spend their money on or not, or to make the decision for someone else what is sensible or not based on their own opinion.

So I'm sorry sprintgirl about your troubles but you just don't have the right to make that decision for others.
i think you misunderstood...i am not crying about my "troubles" i was just making sure that you know we understand the value of money in case you were thinking that people my age couldnt possibly undersand being budget concious, since that is the way you made it seem. and nobody is putting a gun to your head. there are plenty of phones that dont require a data plan. and remind me when i made a decision for anyone but myself...you must not be a very good reader because i never even implied that i had any control over your decisions. also, sprint has recently invested billions of dollars in improving coverage and tops that with a 30 day trial guarantee. we have even developed a tool that can tell you your exact coverage down to a specific building. it never hurts to shop the competition is the point. you are spending more money for less service with verizon or like provider and you are happy about it. hm...seems strange for someone so concerned with saving. i suggest you quit making empty accusations and crying about being "forced" to do something. nobody can make you do anything. get a non data phone if you dont want a data package or go to a company that will not only save you money but also include extra services (such as data) for no additional charge.
