Call handling question for Tom Tom users

After sorting out my concurrent bluetooth headset/gps issue (I suspect re-pairing and tweaking PhoneAlarm helped) I've got a question for TomTom Navigator 6 users.

The TomTom Navigator literature suggests that you should be able to "Never miss a call or SMS message while navigating through on-screen instructions"

However, when I receive a call when navigating using TomTom, tapping my call answer button on my bluetooth headset takes me to the standard HTC phone dialer screen. I need to hit the "X" button to get back to TomTom yet continue my phone conversation.

Does anyone know if there is a way to avoid this? I don't want to miss a critical turn because I answered a phone call.
