I have used mp3trim for some time now. I used it to make ringtones for my nextel i860 and for my ppc. Works awesome and is free. The only thing you need is the song. Either get it from any mp3 site or program or rip from a cd figure out what section you want trim it then you can lead the sound in and out or control volume. I dont have to adjust the volume on the ppc but on the i860 it was way too loud and that setting was priceless.
