You might want to grab the startup.txt from 95-civic's package; I don't know if the Rhodium one included with xdandroid is different or not.
I have tried a GSM build of Android for TP2, using an AT&T Sim card, and voice and data do work on it, and can access the marketplace. Forgot which build I downloaded though...too bad I couldn't play with it longer, my buddy wanted his sim card back.
