I have never had that happen, but that could be an issue with his 14.1 kernel. FWIW, he has version 14.2 out now, which may fix some of the issues with 14.1. You can always check his changelogs here.

I have never had mine lock up or only show a black screen. The "scan lines randomly zipping through the screen here and there" are typical with Zeife's kernels. It is a matter of a tradeoff... more processing power and more stabilty for a few lines here and there.

I have also not had this happen. Remember, Zeife puts out new versions for a reason. It might be time for you to upgrade to the latest version.

I am. Well, I am saying that at least one of the issues you decribed (random lines) are because of the kernel. Contrary to poular belief Zeife is actually human, so he does make mistakes, hence the new kernel releases.

The wireless tether might have caused the Interent connection to stall, as you reported above. The others are typical apps that I don't see an issue with.

It absolutely should not be laggy for you, especially in comparison to a TP, or even a TP2 for that matter. You might want to install Advanced Task Killer (free) from the Market and kill some of the stuff that is running in the background, which might help. I would also think strongly about updating the kernel to Zeife's latest.
