This is a real fix, it uses the time that the message was sent by the other person, not the time the message was received by your phone (which is what ziggy's workaround does).
It will not fix your existing messages. To do that, run the CorrectSMSDate program found in the first post here. However, the CorrectSMSDate program stopped working for me for some reason on March 1, so I've come up with a quick and easy way to do it manually (much easier than the directions in the post I linked to), let me know if you want to know it. |
I would love to know this method; I got the "CorrectSMSDate Failed!" message too. It seems to have corrected most of them, but not all. This is after I had to backup with SpriteBackup, hard reset to install the new Sprint ROM, which was required by the Sprint Patch to fix the 2016 bug, and then restore with Sprite.
I like quick and easy... and I'd rather not hard reset for a third time.
