Re: Sip/voip
I have been able to get it to work natively through the regular dialer. The steps are as follows. I have serached a lot and dont even know who were the originals to figure it out or where the cabs came from but hey it works.
I first installed WM6VoIPFull which will give you 2 links in your start menu called SIP config tool and SIP dial plan. Also will give you the internet tab when you click on Start\Settings\Personal\Phone. Also gives you a today plugin but that can only be used if you use the native today screen that comes with windows mobile. After installing WM6VoIPFull install Setup_VoIP_v0.3.
Anyways moving on...in the SIP Config Tool you will put in your SIP settings: Server, username, password. Make sure you click on tools\SIP over 3g/GSM and then enable via registry to allow the calling over your Data plan. Once all that has been done you will click on Save Configuration. Next go into SIP dialplan, here you will create the dial plan that you have. It may ask you for a soft reset so do it.
After you have reset the phone you will go into the Setup VoIP app and then go into options from there and config the outgoing calls. After finished configuration click Done to save your settings.
Now the only way you are going to know if are using your SIP service is by go to the Native Today Screen and allowing the Internet Calling item on it. You enable this by going into Settings\Personal\Today and then scrool over to items. Once you see it on your today screen and have all settings configured it should say "Available". To make a call using SIP click on that option and it should switch to "Selected". Once "Selected" you can go to your dialpad and begin dialing any number you wish.
Lastly i had an issue with call volume and not being able to hear the person i am speaking to through internal speaker only through external speakerphone. To fix this issue i installed AudioRoute which will route the audio to the speaker you want. It also helped with call volume. In other threads i read not everyone had this issue so before installing Audioroute maybe you want to try making a call to see what happens. Any questions let me know, hope this helps!
