haha. Agreed.
Except for when I worked for Apple...I actually got the customers' problems handled/fix/compensated for. It actually made my job that much more enjoying versus the 1-2 months that I felt like quiting and didn't do a single thing but BS the customers. heh. But they would still call back and request me.

Thats what you get for using the stock rom.
When you said it wouldn't connect to the computer...did you try putting your phone into bootloader mode? (Power+VolDown+Reset if phone is on, or just power+voldown when it was shut off)
If not, that would have solved your not being able to connect problem.
