The devices generally get hot from a lot of radio use or high CPU usage. The texting plugin you are using or whategver else is more than likely working a radio or the CPU.
Also when a Li-Ion battery gets hot their output drops signifigantly. So a hot battery will go from hours of power to minutes on my laptop (and from days to mere hours on our cells).
Try running Stock, as mentioned, and not running your plugins via WMDC. If those plugins fix the issue yell at the coder to fix the bug.

So you're saying that the plugin (Jeyo Mobile Extender btw) would cause it to do that even when it's not connected to the computer?
Hmm, I did just reinstall it when I reconnected the phone to the computer, at which time it started being weird again, so I'll uninstall it and see how it goes.
