Bad blocks are 100% normal in any nand chip, they are from the factory and marked as bad. this is why all nand chips have spare blocks.

Any modern nand and flashing utility will compensate for bad blocks and remap them in spare space as needed. Some rare cases a bad block can cause a flash failure.
